Welcome! I’m Martine Turner, founder of Head Turners. I am a petite, fun loving, professional hair and make-up artist based in Horsham, Sussex.- but willing to travel all over the world for my art.
I’m a sociable, creative soul who loves to meet new people and visit new places but who also enjoys just hanging out with my loved ones. I’m a big fan of getting glammed up – and that’s how my business started.

Head Turners offers luxury make-up, hair services and styling services, using unique creativity and styles, as well as listening to what the client wants and helping them achieve their dream look.
Having a passion for socialising and travelling, it’s very useful, when meeting new clients, ensuring whatever experience you have with Head Turners, is a friendly, relaxed and comfortable one. Although based in Horsham, Sussex, I am happy with travelling around the country, as well as different destinations – photography studios and corporate venues – that is what a professional hair and make-up artist is all about, right? So whatever the venue, you can be assured you’ll be relaxed and can sit back and enjoy the pampering.
At Head Turners, myself and my team tend to specialise in weddings in the UK and abroad, as well as photoshoots, events, beauty treaments and styling services. With my broad experience and skills though, services also extend to hen dos, parties, TV, film, corporate events, and festivals. Feel free to take a look and get in touch.
Head Turners also provides photoshoots, to include your hair and makeup and photos with a professional photographer for branding shoots, portfolio shoots, sports, family portraits and more .
Why choose me as your hair and make-up artist?
I am City & Guilds accredited in hair, as well as having trained in bridal make-up, editorials and creative makeup, nails, eyelashes and eyebrows. As well as a recent qualification as an Image Consultant I am creative and passionate about my work and love my job.
What I love most is how wearing the right hair and make-up can make you feel about yourself. It’s amazing to see people’s confidence grow once the makeover is complete. I feel very lucky to do what I do. Helping someone feel better about themselves is the best feeling!
My Passions
Shoes, travel, glitter, laughter, sunsets, the occasional gin and tonic (ah hem), baths by candlelight, my bed, handbags, fun nights out..
Things I'm proud of and some I'm not -
When I’m not working, you can find me at home in my slippers, with my three beautiful boys, our house bunny and a cup of tea (ok maybe sometimes I mean a glass of wine or G&T). Life can be very full on and very un-pink! My boys can be cheeky and boisterous but I love them to bits. They are my inspiration in life. But you can see why I crave some girl time!
I have to put make-up on for the school run or to go to the local shop – and I sometimes pretend it’s because I’m on my way out somewhere important!
I’m really, really scared of spiders. To the point that I don’t like to leave the windows open for too long and I always check there are no spiders in my shoes before I put them on!

I am based in Horsham, but offer hair and makeup styling services throughout West Sussex, and the surrounding counties. And of course, when it comes to destination weddings and events, I’m happy to travel much further afield.
